Planting Instructions: Set the plant 3" deeper than it was in the original pot. Bury the first set of entire leaves to encourage production of strong shoots. Firm soil around plant and water thoroughly. Make sure base and roots are completely shaded.
Soil Requirements: Well-drained, fertile, moisture-retentive soil.
Growth Rate: Moderate
Pruning: Prune in late winter or early spring. Remove dead and weak shoots. Cut the remaining shoots cut back to 6-9 inches above a couple of well-developed buds.
Winter Care: Apply a winter mulch, after the ground freezes, in areas where plants may heave from the ground due to alternate freezing and thawing temperatures. Remove most of the mulch in early spring, but keep 2-3" to keep the ground moist and shaded.

Trees and other oversize items cannot be shipped to PO boxes.
