Tamukeyama Japanese Maple

Centuries of great design
Is your garden ready for a focal point? Great design is all about color, form and movement, and this Japanese maple displays all three. Considered by experts as the most reliable and easiest to grow of the darker foliaged cut-leaf maples, Tamukeyama's deeply lobed plum-hued foliage is borne on a mounding structure that's more wide than tall, with branches that cascade beyond the confines of its base. Planted on a slope or in a container, its trailing habit leads the eye and captures the imagination. While the lacy foliage retains its intense burgundy shade all season in full sun, it will adapt to part shade with little loss of color. For centuries, savvy designers have used this Japanese maple for dramatic effect in the garden, and you should too.
