Ruby Spice Summersweet

Fragrant butterfly magnet
A huge color breakthrough for Summersweet. Ruby Spice features rich rose-pink blooms that are a first for flowering Clethra. Intensely fragrant, star-shaped florets grow into plump, exotic 2-4" wands that appear on a 4-6' bush for many weeks in mid to late summer. Versatile Summersweet is a great flowering shrub that is also effective as a decorative hedge. Makes a wonderful addition to naturalized areas, woodland spaces and along the banks of a pond or stream. It is a compact plant that is perfect for smaller spaces, too. Plant in groups of three or five to create professional-looking garden installation. Clethra alnifolia 'Ruby Spice'.
