Intense red color
Produces charming, deep red, high-centered, exhibition-type flowers that are framed with dark green, glossy foliage. The 1½" double flowers hold their color and the plants are disease resistant. Whether planted along a walkway, in the front of a border or in containers, Ruby, Ruby Miniature Rose is sure to be eye-catching. Miniature roses add charm to any garden space and require surprisingly little effort. They're a great choice for front borders, accents in rock gardens, in planter boxes and in containers.

  • Light Requirements: Full Sun, Partial Shade

  • Foliage Type: Glossy green compound leaves with 5-7 leaflets.
  • Bloom Time: Late spring to fall
  • Flower Form: Perfectly formed miniature roses.
  • Planting Instructions: Plant at the same level as the soil so the crown of the plant is even with the soil level. Don't bury the crown. Full sun is best for quicker flowering and higher quality plants.
  • Soil Requirements: Well drained, humus enriched soil.
  • Growth Rate: Moderate once established.
  • Pruning: Prune to maintain shape. Remove any dead or damaged branches. Petals drop and new blooms appear without pruning. Shape plants at any time.
  • Winter Care: Mulch heavily around the base of the plant. Remove promptly in early spring.
  • Additional Information: Roses prefer a thorough watering but do not like 'wet feet'. Water early in the day to avoid conditions into the night which can cause issues with fungus and disease.
