Purple Taiheijo Dahlia

A winsome purple dinnerplate Dahlia
Dinnerplate-sized dahlias—those that produce flowers 10 inches across or larger—are the true attention seekers of the garden, and for good reason. Purple Taiheijo Dahlia is no exception! You'll love these flowers, which have a more informal shape in every imaginable shade of the color of purple. Purple Taiheijo mixes purples, wine colors, violets and reds in its loosely-gathered petals, creating an incredibly colorful and cool look. Easy to grow and a huge butterfly attractant, this dahlia is excellent in a border or a cutting garden. The flowers look stunning in a bouquet, and we also like cutting them close to the bloom and floating the blossoms in a shallow dish.
