Night Before Christmas Hosta

Eye-Catching Creamy White Centers
This easy-to-grow perennial is famous for its huge leaves, which sit low to the ground in a mound or cluster. Each leaf—which can grow up to 8" long and 3" wide—is dark green with a creamy-white center that brightens to pure white by the middle of summer. Around this time, pale lavender, tube-shaped flowers bloom above the leaves on 34" scapes, attracting pollinators like butterflies and bees. Plant in full or partial shade (dappled sunlight is ideal) in moist, well-drained humus-rich soil. In 2012, this perennial won the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
