  • Foliage Type: Glaucous-green, sword-like fans of stiff upright leaves with some dying back in colder climates in winter.

  • Flower Form: Identical to any typical iris
  • Planting Instructions: Plant the rhizomes shallowly so that buried but also partially exposed.
  • Soil Requirements: Well drained. Irises are tolerant of a wide range of soils
  • Growth Rate: Fast once established, which takes approximately 6-8 weeks.
  • Pruning: Cut foliage back to a 6" fan. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers from over wintering.
  • Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates during the first winter. Remove it early in spring before growth starts.
