Riveting Miniature German Iris
Easy to Grow Sophisticated Irises
These stunning irises will turn heads whether planted along walkways and borders, or sprouting from containers. Each flower head consists of three upright petals (called standards) and three drooping petals (called falls). The petals are white with a dark, inky blue-purple spot that covers most of the petal. Sword-shaped linear green leaves sprout from the base of the sturdy stem, which can grow up to 3' tall. Plant in full sunlight in well-drained clay, loamy, or sandy soil and these flowers will grow quickly and easily. They're great for naturalizing gardens as well. Cut and add them to bouquets or vases to enjoy their fragrant scent inside. Iris germanica 'Riveting'
