Java Red Weigela

Just right for a floral fence
Weigela is a favorite in the world of flowering hedges, and this easy-care, affordable Weigela really holds its own. Java Red is a versatile high performer all through the year. Reddish green leaves emerge in spring on a dense, multi-stemmed shrub, along with trumpeting flowers in red, pale pink, and white. The classic flowers bring in visits from hummingbirds and butterflies, and add something special to any living fence. The foliage shifts to a deep maroon by fall. A compact weigela, Java Red is perfect for tightly-branched hedges and borders, and is even small enough to fit into a large container. You can prune Java Red Weigela for a tidier look, but this neat and clean Weigela looks great even without a yearly trim. Weigela florida 'Java Red'
