The Easiest Way to Spice Up your Spring
This unusual little iris is also called a "Corn Leaf Iris." The first thing this little plant shows is lance-shaped foliage that looks like it could belong to a mini corn plant. Then come the sweetly fragrant 3" blooms, which are long lasting in mid spring. They make a charming sun-and-sea contrast when paired with blue blooms in a perennial bed. You can plant Bucharica in any well-drained soil—it's quite the tolerant and hardy variety. It's an excellent, easy-care choice for the rock garden and in a mixed border.
