Hummelo Betony

A Sure Bet
The Plant Evaluation Trials at the Chicago Botanical Garden rated 22 excellent Stachys varieties (Betony), and Hummelo received the highest rating. It is honestly everything you'd want out of a betony performance. Very easy to grow in sunny borders, energetic and fun as an edge to a walkway, and striking in a pot next to the front door. Both the lofty blooms and the mound of foliage are brightly colored, so it'll really amp up the drama in your landscape. Hummelo will grow to about 18-20" and spread about 18". In warm climates, it may also be evergreen.
