Flowering Dogwood Starter Pack

Beautiful Spring Greetings
These flowering trees bring romance to the landscape with masses of fragrant spring blooms. They're followed by fruits that attract beautiful summer birds to your garden. This is a native, easy-to-grow variety of dogwood. It's dependable and it tolerates black walnut juglone easily. Flowering dogwoods soften the landscape, and there's just something enchanting about a sky full of flowers. In about 5-8 years, these should be taking shape as beautiful ornamental trees to round out your garden. We offer these as 1.5-2' bareroot trees, not as the larger potted ones you'd find at the local nursery, for two great reasons. Firstly, you won't have to pay an arm and a leg for three—this is the economical way to get stunning color up high in your garden. Secondly, it's actually a better way to get the trees to establish in your garden. They'll weather the shock of shipping a lot easier in their dormant stage, and they haven't spent energy growing and establishing in a pot, so they have plenty of energy to form strong roots in your garden bed first.
