Flama Calla Lily produces fiery orange, chalice-shaped, 2-3" flowers that are excellent for cut flower arrangements and bouquets. The flowers last for up to two weeks! The brilliant orange flowers also look outstanding in the garden as well as patio pots and containers. Calla lilies are treasured for the elegance they add to fresh bouquets and flower arrangements. Their lance-shaped foliage remains attractive after flowering season. It's easy to produce these exquisite blooms in your own garden. These lilies prefer full sun to partial shade and loose, well-drained soil. If planted in the garden, the bulbs must be lifted in the fall in colder climates.

  • Foliage Type: Lanceolate, green foliage with white spots. Yellows toward dormancy and with frost.

  • Flower Form: Chalice-shaped or funnel-shaped flowers, 2 - 3" wide.
  • Planting Instructions: Wait until threat of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Plant bulbs in the ground 4" deep with the sprout side up.
  • Soil Requirements: Well-drained, humus-enriched soil. Likes to be moist, but not wet. Needs good drainage.
  • Growth Rate: Slow at first, then as temperatures reach 65+ degrees F, rapid growth occurs. Do not overwater when first planted.
  • Winter Care: In colder climates dig up the rhizomes in autumn, after first frost, shake off any soil. Allow them to dry out for a few days before storing them in peat moss in a cool,dry area. Replant in Spring once soil has warmed.
  • Additional Information: Wonderful in cut flower arrangements. One bloom can last for up to 2 weeks. Foliage remains attractive long after the flowers are gone.
