Fireworks Solidago

Enjoy vivid yellow flower spikes
This sunny, wispy wildflower is native to North America and makes for beautiful autumn interest. It blooms in late summer and well into fall, with its flowers offering pollinators a rare late-season source of food. Each stem is topped with a long, lacy, fragrant plumelike panicle in vivid lemon yellow. The Chicago Botanical Gardens so enjoyed this flower that they named it the Top Rated Cultivar in their five-year Goldenrod trials. Hay fever sufferers, don't worry—Fireworks Solidago isn't a culprit of allergy symptoms. Feel free to cut its long flowers for use in fall bouquets and vases!
