Dwarf Pacas Coffee Tree

A Conversation Starter
Ever wanted to grow your own coffee beans? With a little bit of patience, you can! These potted houseplants take about 3-4 years to sprout the coffee fruits that can be harvested to roast your own beans. They're ideal for indoor temperatures of 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit, but they flourish when moved outdoors for pollination in the summer. As the plants reach maturity, you'll see star-shaped white blossoms that smell lovely and sweet. Next, green fruits will appear in long clusters. They'll turn red and then black, and that's how you know they're ready! Inside each fruit are two beans, which can be roasted and ground to make your own coffee. These houseplants are easy to grow and maintain with well-drained moist soil. Keep near a window to get them the filtered sunlight they crave. They'll grow between 5-10' tall. Coffee Arabica
