Decadence Blueberry Sundae Baptisia

Bold color on a beneficial plant
Blueberry Sundae is part of the DECADENCE® Series bred by Hans Hansen. Hansen crossed native USA baptisia varieties to bring about some extraordinarily improved new cultivars. The intense indigo color that Blueberry Sundae produces really sticks out in the garden, because it's so different than most bloom colors. On a compact habit, it'll stay upright and ready for butterflies to explore (although deer tend to avoid it). Great in a meadow or wildflower garden, as the deep blue-green foliage stays nice through the season. Blooms are followed by pretty seed pods, too. This baptisia is a nitrogen fixer. That means certain bacteria gathers around the roots and draws in nitrogen (the N in an NPK fertilizer formula). PP23891 PW
