Cherry Blossom Sedge
A Honeybee Favorite
Wide, strappy, arching leaves fill out a shaded border nicely. This is also a good container plant, especially when, in midsummer and in fall, spiky, cherry-blossom pink plumes appear. An unusual flowering look for a sedge, it creates a chic patio accent. It's also perfect as a ground cover for an area you don't want to worry about—it's an easy-to-grow, reliable perennializer with lasting seasonal interest, and even some winter interest. You won't have to worry about deer nibbling at it either, but butterflies and other beneficial pollinators will be drawn into your garden by it. Carex scaposa 'Cherry Blossom'
