Caroline Constabel Itoh Peony

Remarkable double blooms!
Once this Itoh settles into your yard and matures, it will become especially vigorous. It will produce three to five gorgeous blooms per stem, harkening back to the floriferous tree peony side of its ancestry. Thanks to its herbaceous ancestors, it's also particularly cold hardy, with foliage that will stay beautiful from spring to fall. The blooms are impressive—fragrant, fully double and especially dramatic with each petal darker towards the center. It grows 23-27" tall, perfect for adding long-lasting, reliable structure along fences, sidewalks and driveways. It's easy to grow and deer tend not to bother it. Butterflies, however, adore these blooms.
