Blueberry Huron Blueberry Huron

Blueberry Huron

Rated the best flavor of any early to mid-season variety. Another new variety from Michigan State University. Fruit is much firmer than Blue Crop and larger than either Blue Crop or Duke. Refrigerated storage life is several weeks longer than Duke or Blue Crop. Huron develops sugars slowly, so if you pick Huron too early it will be tart. Be patient! Taste test to see if Huron is ripe and you will be rewarded! Vigorous and upright growth habit. 5 feet tall. Very high fresh market quality, excellent firmness and superior flavor. Mature plant produces 8-10 pounds of fruit. Cold hardy to –15F, zones 5-7. Harvest early to mid-season (In Southwestern Michigan beginning approximately July 10th, earlier in warmer zones)
