Blue Lobelia

Striking and Versatile
Want hummingbird visitors to your garden? Plant the Blue Lobelia! Its beautiful blue flowers typically bloom in late summer, which means not only will hummingbirds enjoy it on their way south for the winter, but so will plenty of butterflies! It grows quickly once established in full sun or partial shade, especially in moist soils. The strong stems can grow up to 3' tall, and feature lance-shaped, slightly toothed leaves. The 2-lipped flowers grow from a terminal spike with two petals on top and three on the bottom, all in vibrant blue-purple. Add to bouquets and vases for a pop of brilliant color. Lobelia siphilitica
