Blood Lily

Grown for Unique Form
This South African native has a fearsome name that hardly matches its whimsical charm. Also known as a Pincushion Flower, the attention-grabbing Blood Lily is generally grown for the beauty of its blooms, which are unique in both their vibrant bright red color and their distinctive flower form. This unusual ball shape is created by hundreds of tiny florets, and it can grow up to 6" wide. Plant your blood lily in any drab, sunny to partially shaded spot to brighten it up in a snap. Great accent in a container, and an exciting house plant. Also makes a unique addition to cut-flower bouquets. Both deer and rodent resistant. Scadoxus multiflorus
