Bleeding Hearts Heliopsis

Shades of an American sunset
Heliopsis, sometimes called "false sunflowers" or "heliopsis sunflowers" are a native wildflower: making them exceptionally easy to grow here in the United States. Bleeding Hearts is the first seed grown heliopsis to bloom without yellow on the flowers. From midsummer to frost, it offers a parade of large sunflower-shaped blooms in sunset reds and oranges - and the bronze and black tones in the stems is an added bonus! These tall and sturdy perennials look amazing in clusters. Or, plant them in the back of a flowerbed or pollinator garden. Heliopsis make excellent, long-lasting cut flowers. If your soil is particularly rich, consider staking your Bleeding Hearts Heliopsis to keep them growing upright.
