Autumn Blaze Maple

The Ultimate Tree for Fall Color
This tree is best loved for its fast growth (up to 3 ft per year) and the fiery red hue its leaves turn in fall. This popular US hybrid is so well loved, it won the Urban Tree of the Year two years in a row! It's a sure bet for easy care, with fewer issues from leafhoppers and verticillim than regular maples, a great disease resistance and pollution tolerance. Great for Northern gardens, especially once the bark has matured and thickened, as it's adaptable to a wide range of climates and has a good resistance to ice and wind damage. Autumn Blaze will thrive even in poorer soils, with a tolerance to clay, dry and sandy soil. It also does well in wet soil, even preferring wet soil in the younger years--so it makes a great addition to a rain garden. Use its lush foliage as attractive privacy and screening, or let it keep your plants cool in a shade garden. Acer freemani 'Jeffsred'
