Amazingly Soft, Bottle-Brush Stems
Boasting many seasons of interest in the garden, Amsonia Hubrichtii is covered with narrow needle-like leaves that create a fern-like appearance, but are actually amazingly soft! Its star-shaped, blue blooms form clusters above mounded foliage in late spring through early summer. After blooming, it will quickly reach its full 3' height. Come fall, the foliage turns yellow creating the perfect backdrop for mums, sedum and other autumn perennials. This Southern native can often be found growing naturally in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri, thriving in full sun to partial shade. Too much shade and too rich of soil will cause an open and floppy habit. Don't miss out on this deer resistant, easy-to-grow beauty!
