Aleutian Islands Reblooming Bearded Iris

Perfect Perennial Accent
These blooms are big, about 5" across, and perfect for freshening up the home in a cut flower bouquet. They appear—elegantly ruffled and strikingly colorful—in mid spring to early summer. In zones 8 and up, Aleutian Islands can also rebloom later in the season. There's a slight, sweet fragrance lingering around the blooms. It's easy to grow, being both deer resistant and drought tolerant. This bearded iris prefers full sun, but can be used in partial shade. It is excellent in any type of well-drained soil. Another great variety by the hybridizer Michael Sutton, introduced in 2007. Iris germanica 'Aleutian Islands'
  • Zone 3-9
