Oochigeas Itoh Peony

Sophisticated colors bloom over lush foliage
Named for a woman in a 19th-century Algonquian story, this heirloom-quality Itoh peony is incredibly floriferous. Each large, fragrant double flower features coral-pink petals with deeper hues of red and pink toward the center. It grows from a medium-sized bush whose lush green foliage provides plenty of interest even after the blooms are done. Plant in perennial borders to bring a sense of sophistication to the garden, or enjoy as cut flowers in vases and bouquets, where they'll steal the show. Though peonies can take three years to show their first bloom, the wait is well worth it, and they'll last for decades to come.
