Joan Senior Daylily

A resilient, award-winning daylily
This award-winning daylily is known for its incredible performance—its long life, its long bloom season, its large, pale, slightly ruffled flowers that won't burn in harsh sunlight. But the performance doesn't end there. Joan Senior is also resistant to many different pests and diseases, and can even thrive in drier, drought-susceptible climates. It will grow in poor soil and on slopes, and deer tend keep away. It's excellent and eye-catching when planted all on its own, but we love adding Joan Senior to our perennial beds to bring a bit of serenity to all the vibrancy. Its mound of foliage is attractive, too, with long, straplike, evergreen leaves.
