Are glory of the snow invasive?

Glory of the Snow are aggressive and vigorous growers, but they are not invasive. In general, chionodoxa are happy to spread and thrive in optimal conditions, but they are easy to contain. That means that Glory of the Snow are not truly invasive plants. If you'd like to keep your Glory of the Snow from spreading, be sure to deadhead them before they have a chance to re-seed. And, if you find that your plants are sprouting from places in which you'd prefer they didn't-just pluck the stray plants. You can also divide your bulbs every few years to thin them and keep them from spreading beyond their bounds.

How long do glory of the snow flowers last?

Glory of the Snow flowers are one of the longest-lasting flowers of the earliest-spring cultivars. They'll happily flower in late winter and bloom for several weeks, making this bulb an economical and transition-friendly choice. Let these blooms open alongside crocuses and lenten roses, and they'll still be there when your bigger bulbs begin to sprout.

Where should you plant Glory of the Snow?

Glory of the Snow flowers fit in well with a variety of landscapes, and are perfect for naturalizing. These plants will flourish in full sun or partial shade, and can grow anywhere with good drainage. Plant in wide swaths at the front of the flower border, or try placing these beautiful bulbs under deciduous trees or shrubs.
