One of the most recognized flowers, lilies are easy to grow in the garden. Their bell-shaped, cheerful flowers bloom on tall stems during the summer months. While they look lovely blooming in the garden, they also make excellent cut flowers and are a top choice for bouquets. Choose from lilies with single or double blooms. Most lilies are very fragrant and will perfume the air. An easy-to-grow perennial, lilies can be planted in mixed perennial flowerbeds or planted in masses for a spectacular summer color show. While lilies aren't super fussy about soil, they prefer sunny locations and will grow in full sun or partially shaded areas that receive several hours of direct sunlight.
