  • Foliage Type: Long narrow green lance shaped leaves.
  • Bloom Time: Blooms in Spring and again in Fall.
  • Flower Form: Standard and falls are both pristine white veined and edged with violet purple colors.
  • Planting Instructions: In clay soil, rhizomes should be slightly exposed. In sandy soil, they can be covered an inch or two. Full sun is best, at least 5 hours of sunlight each day. Water during dry periods.
  • Soil Requirements: Prefers well-drained soil, but is tolerant of a wide range of soils.
  • Growth Rate: Fast
  • Pruning: Remove spent flower stems to encourage more blooms. In late fall, cut foliage to 6" fans. Remove plant debris to prevent borers from overwintering. After flowering, and in late fall to early winter.
  • Winter Care: Mulch in colder climates, after the ground freezes. Remove mulch early in spring, before the new growth starts.
