Careful with this agressive vine Review by Patrick Van Laere - Denver, CO

I finally decided to get rid of my trumpet vine because it needed so much pruning to keep it off the wooden part of the house. It glues itself to brick or wood and its seeds sprout easily and are tough to dig up once started. Otherwise it's easy to grow and attractive.

These climbing flowering vines are perfect for filling your exposed trellis, fences, pergolas and walls. The Trumpet Vine, one of our many popular climbing vine plants, is renowned for its yellow and dark orange flowers. Its glossy dark-green foliage looks great, even without blooms. It is apt for adding character and dimension to your landscape area.

Suitable for hardiness zones 4–9, this fast-growing deciduous woody-stemmed climbing vine requires full sun to flourish. It can also grow well in partial shade, but flowering may be reduced. The average, well-drained soil is ideal for this easy to grow Trumpet Vine. It can grow 20–30 feet tall and 6–8 feet wide. It requires adequate room and support to develop. Pruning is needed to maintain shape or if the growth is too heavy for the support to hold.

It produces terminal clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers from midsummer to frost. The vibrant flowers of Trumpet Vine attract both hummingbirds and butterflies, injecting color and life in your garden.

Featuring exotic blooms and lush foliage, the eye-catching climbing flowering vines give your exterior space a new definition, enhancing its overall appeal. Plant Trumpet Vine to brighten up bare structures in your garden, making your outdoor living area more inviting and attractive.
