My Order Review by Willie - Bay Minette, AL

When I ordered 15 of these trees, I really was not looking for much. However, when I received them, I was very impressed with them. They were so perfect (dark green)that I thought the trees were plastic. I broke a small piece off and realized the trees were real. They were no more than a foot long and I planted them immediately.

Arrived nicer than expected Review by Tammy - Forney, TX

I expected a twig with a few roots when I ordered these. To my surprise they were a foot tall with a very nice root system in a 4" pot. I planted immediately when they arrived. No brown foliage were on any of the 12 I ordered. Will submit a new review in a year on how they did!

The Thuja Green Giant Hedge, also referred to as Western Redcedar, is an evergreen shrub that grows 30 - 40 feet tall. Native to the American Pacific Northwest, this tree was of great consequence to the indigenous people of the area for its wood, bark, and insecticidal properties. The conifer produces a reddish brown bark and flat, fan-like sprays of scale-like leaves. Also known as the Thuja Plicata Green Giant, the Western Redcedar produces both male and female cones; the male cones are small and inconspicuous while the female cones grow to about 2 cm long. This shrub produces lenticular shaped seeds with each cone producing 1 - 3 seeds. The Thuja Green Giant Hedge is widely used as an ornamental shrub to grow hedges. Landscapers often prefer this plant due to its unique features, such as a natural pyramidal shape, its delicious fragrance, and its low maintenance needs. Hardy in zones 5 - 8, it overwinters well and its dark green foliage contrasts beautifully with snow. Making an excellent windbreak, privacy fence or decorative hedge, the Thuja hedge has no special planting requirements other than a preference for well-drained soil. This sturdy native shrub will live to well over 100 years. It does not require pruning, but you may prune and top regularly to maintain height and shape if desired. Thuja hedge is a stately shrub that will delight you for a lifetime.
