A cute little flower! Not quite as blue as the picture shows, but more of a purple color. Still, a pretty flower. Was very small when it arrived, and took quite a while to take off, but now has blooms and flowers on it.

Ordered May of 2013. Went from a tiny sprout to a 18" bush last year. Never thought we'd get flowers last year but we did. Lasted until early Nov. This year the new growth is VERY healthy even after that brutal winter. Looks to be a home run. Out of 25 only two died. The ones that get more sun are bigger.

I wish I would have known that this plant would take over my flower bed. If you want something to fill a large area very quickly, this will do it. I wasn't expecting this and it smothered a lot of my other plants. I am trying to get it out of that bed to put it in a spot I wouldn't mind being filled. The roots are everywhere!

Stunningly electric blue petals set around a gorgeous yellow eye, the Super Aster is one of the most exciting perennial flower plants on the home and garden scene today. This aster plant, also known as the 'Wonder of Staffia' Aster, is a herbaceous perennial. Grown best in partial shade to full sun environments, Super Aster reaches 18-to-24 inches with an 18-to-24 inch spread, so they should be planted with that distance in mind. Planting requires careful placement at the same soil level as in the plant's container. The plant should be firmed well and watered thoroughly. It grows moderately fast to fast, and prefers a well-drained, open space with soil that's at least moderately fertile. Trimming the aster plant in late spring encourages especially brushy plants that bloom from the middle of summer well into late fall. Your growing efforts will pay off with stupendous results. Dark green leaves are about four inches long, becoming smaller the higher they are on the plant. The lavender blue with yellow center daisy-like perennial flower plants provide some of the best blooms in any garden. With thick stems and long-lasting blooms, growing areas sparkle in delight. Look for the aster to brighten up any garden border, rock garden or outdoor landscaped site. Consider using them in dried cut flower arrangements. Any which way you cut them, the strikingly beautiful floral display adds unique color to gardens and lawns.
