Colorful and vibrant, the large, 6-inch violet rosettes of the Purple Rose succulent are durable, easy to grow and strikingly lovely. They are perfect for decorative containers, rock gardens or exotic borders. This colorful succulent thrives in container gardens, which means it can be planted almost anywhere that there is space for one. Space 6" apart and mix with other varieties for a dramatic succulent garden. It thrives in partial shade to full sunlight, though most prefer the latter, and full sun will accentuate the plant's signature purple coloration. As for watering, it's best to let the Purple Rose succulent's soil dry out entirely before you give it another drink. Although it's technically best suited for planting in zones 9 - 10, those in zones 2 - 8 can still easily grow this tender perennial succulent. Just be sure to bring it indoors before the first frost.

Known by the botanical name Echeveria Perle Von Nurnberg, this eye-catching succulent was bred by famed grower Richard Graessner of Perleberg, Germany, in the 1930s. Its evergreen leaves retain their colors all year long, while its coral pink star-like flowers appear in midsummer. A popular addition to gardens everywhere, these succulents are easy to care for and quite visually appealing. Spectacular rock garden succulents, the Purple Rose variety can be transplanted and moved indoors with ease. Whether adorning a stone wall, adding interest to arid rocky ground or livening up a patio, the dusky purple and blue-green foliage of the Echevaria succulent makes a stunning addition to your garden.
