Love my tree, hasn't produced fruit yet Review by Chelsea - Salt Lake City, UT

I bought this tree about 5 years ago. When it arrived, I was certain I was going to kill it. It was literally 3 inches tall, just a little stick with a leaf on it. I do not have a green thumb, and I didn't know if I would succeed at helping this tree thrive. After 5 years, it is about 2 feet tall. It blooms every year, but has not yet produced fruit. I keep it outside in the summer, and bring it in during the cold months. I use citrus fertilizer, and also citrus potting soil. I'm hoping that this year it will finally produce some oranges for me. I love my tree, even if it doesn't produce fruit.

keep indoors and wow your friends Review by Alicia A Gregg - Wichita, KS

Beautiful tree! Mine is 3 years old now, and produces lots of little oranges. They are very bitter to the taste, but makes good orange zest for cooking and it is a nice smelling and looking plant. Does not attract fruit flies. I have always keep mine indoors in a south window. It is 4 ft tall. One thing they don't tell you -- this little tree grows very sharp thick thorns, Be careful when pruning and watering! I would definitely recommend this tree to a friend.

Very happy with our citrus trees! Review by Renee - Zone 6a, NJ

I ordered the lemon, lime, and orange trees as a gift. We have never ordered plants by mail, and were pleased that all arrived carefully packed and in nice shape with dark green leaves. They are about 8 inch plants, all with good root systems. I've potted them using miracle grow citrus potting soil and they are out on the patio for the summer now!

My little orange tree arrived in perfect condition. Root system very well established. Also ordered a tangerine tree to complete the set. Plan to fertilize the orange tree with citrus soil and leaf fertilization spraying. Hope to see the start of blossoms soon!!

Enjoy sweet, juicy home-grown fruit with the delightfully compact Valencia Citrus Tree. The perfect size for a container or patio planting, this orange citrus tree grows to only 3 - 5" tall and has an equal spread. This small, woody perennial has attractive, evergreen glossy dark green foliage that provides year round appeal. In early summer, clusters of 1" waxy, star shaped white flowers will soothe your senses with their delicate, sweet fragrance. The only variety of orange available in the summer, the Valencia Citrus Tree fruits in mid-season and produces sweet, juicy, delicious small to medium oranges.

Hardy only in zones 9 - 10, this Asian native likes full sun and a warm climate. This orange citrus tree prefers to be overwintered indoors. In fact, these trees make a lovely indoor container plant when placed near a sunny window. Plant your Valencia orange tree in humus enriched, well-drained, acid soil. It will take about 4- 6 weeks for the tree to become established, after which growth will be slow to moderate. Pruning is unnecessary, although you may want to prune lightly to maintain the shape and compact size. With its small size, fragrant flowers and sweet fruit, the Valencia Citrus Tree is an excellent container citrus.
