The plants arrived really small (more like twigs). I planted them right away. Now all three plants are back after a very long winter. One of them even has flowers. So cute.

Last year when this was shipped, I planted it after a good soaking. I laughed at it's size & thought there's no way this would make it. SUPRIZE!!! It did great through the winter & for it's size, it puts out a great smell that is not over whelming. If you love lilacs.. I would suggest in getting at least a few of these great plants!!

We are really enjoying this little lilac! It gets a little taller, and a little fuller each year, this is our third. It's lovely to be able to examine the blooms so closly due to it's shorter stature. Smells awesome. Good buy!

Doing great Review by Faith - Dearborn, MI

Arrived healthy and well-packaged. All are thriving despite being in very different areas of the garden with varying light and water specs. Half have already shown blooms despite their small size. Very lovely pink as pictured and fragrant. A solid purchase. Definitely look forward to watching them fill their spot in the landscaping.

Forewarned.... Review by Deb Rebel - Boise City, OK

I ordered two, and even though outhers said they would be small... I didn't expect the plants to be THAT small. The cardboard sleeving pack inside the small box, at least held them well from shipping damage. One was so wilty and off it, I thought it was going to die. I gave them a good soaking then potted them up in 8" pots and put them in my GREENHOUSE to give them a fighting chance. I can say that they are indeed coming around, and managed to both put out some leaves, though both lost the bloom stems they had. I don't mind that as long as they pull through. I am going to start hardening them off before they go out in their permanent spots after our frost date (we have had four hard freezes since I got them, interspersed with 80 plus days!) I would say without some babying I would have lost both right off the bat. I have faith that with a full summer to get established they will be fine in my 6b (drought) climate as long as I keep them watered. I gave a three because of the condition they were in on arrival and size, and that with some TLC they are growing well right now. I will echo other reviews I have read, the plants shipped are VERY SMALL.

Aromatic! Review by Laura Heller - Oaklyn, NJ

I love this lilac! It is a beautiful accent plant, about 3' in its 2nd yr. You can smell the blooms from our deck 15' away. It's completely covered in blooms and will bloom again a few more times this year. You won't be disappointed if you purchase this plant!

The Josee Reblooming Lilac (Syringa Josee), is a prolific hybrid of S. Meyeri, S. Patula and S. Microphylla. This exquisite plant produces fragrant lavender-pink blooms in dense panicles four to five inches in length. The Josee Reblooming Lilac is named for its unique ability to bloom and re-bloom up to four times from spring through early fall, with the best show of rich blooms occurring in late spring.

Given adequate moisture, this lilac will continue to flower intermittently until the first frost begins. Recurring florets are especially common in climates with cool summer weather. When in bloom, Syringa Josee's plentiful and aromatic trumpet-shaped flowers are irresistible to butterflies. A dwarf shrubbery that is compact in size, the Josee Reblooming Lilac seldom exceeds six feet high and five feet wide. The Josee Lilac's adaptability and size make it a perfect choice for border plantings, hedge screens, or the smaller garden. This hybrid lilac's moderate stature also allows it to grow in a container.

This lilac is a hardy and flexible plant that prefers full sun to partial shade and can tolerate a variety of soil conditions, so long as soil is well drained. Syringa Josee is recommended for USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 2-9, and for best results should be planted in humus-rich soil in full sunlight. Maintenance is surprisingly minimal, consisting of removing old blooms and suckers from the base of the plant after each flowering to encourage new growth.
