Botanical Name: Phlox paniculata General Information
Form: Herbaceous perennial

Foliage Type: 2" - 5" long, lanceolate, dark green.
Flower Form: Individual, flared trumpet-shaped flowers form dense pyramidal panicles ranging from 5" - 8" in size.
Flower Color: Varies depending on variety - Pink, white, red, purple,orange, two-tone.
Flowering Date: Midsummer onwards.
Planting Requirements: Plant firmly, set the buds 1" - 2" deep and water thoroughly. If potted, set at same level it is in the container. Firm soil and water thoroughly.
Soil Requirements: Well drained. Many Phlox tend to be susceptible to mildew, so plant in a sunny, airy location with good air circulation. Watering should be done in the morning so moisture can dry off during the day.
Growth Rate: Moderate to fast once established, which takes approximately 3 - 4 weeks.
Unique Characteristics: Bright colors, spicy fragrance, tall varieties make great background plantings. Enjoy indoors in cutflower arrangements.
Pruning: Remove spent flower heads. Trim back to 2"-4" if mildew is a problem.
Additional Information: Most varieties benefit from being divided every 3 - 4 years or when their flower production drops.

These bloomed the first year and it was great, but this year WOW! You cannot go wrong with these flowers, they are absolutely awesome! They multiplied greatly too! I was delighted that they attract hummingbirds and I got tons of fabulous photos!
