Beautiful addition, comes up quickly after cold temps pass. Blooms quickly following first rosette of leaves. Be sure to prep soil- add sand, well drained never soggy, or tubers will rot quickly. Lovely texture and blooms. Will purchase again, pots or beds.

With clusters of pink and white trumpet-shaped blooms, this attractive flowering fern mix will tempt both hummingbirds and bees to your garden. Below the fern flowers are 18-24 inches of textured green foliage with deep divided leaves that each grow to 1-inch long. Full blooms can yield up to 12 flowers at a time, all ranging from 2- to 3-inches long and wide, on every stalk. These flowering ferns requires full sun to partial shade with four to six or more hours of direct sunlight, and a sheltered position in a sunny, warm spot. The fern flowers bloom with a slow to moderate rate from early to mid-summer, providing you with gorgeous cut flowers or acting as a great naturalizer, and the fragrant smell of these fern flowers will discourage moles from disturbing your plants. Because this flowering fern mix is native to rocky, mountainous regions, avoid waterlogged soil. The ferns requires a porous, preferably sandy, well-drained soil enriched with humus, but the soil should be kept moist during flowering season. Though exotic-looking, the flowering fern is hardy to zone 5, withstanding minimum temperatures of -10 degrees Fahrenheit, and these blooms can last for many weeks if spent flowers are regularly pruned.
