Hard to go wrong with Hardy Red Azalea Review by Faye Newman - Coos Bay, AL

This lovely crimson shrub offers summer & winter interest, with leaves as deeply colorful in winter as its flowers are in spring. A long-time fan of both the rhodendron and azalea members of this family, I have rarely found one easier to grow than the Hardy red variety. Comes fresh and healthy in a small pot, ready for immediate planting.

Like most shrubs in the rhodie family, this dwarf red azalea is easy to grow, requires moderate care, and is gorgeous in flower. Dead head them after blooming for a richer display the following year. A good choice for later spring color, my azaleas arrived in healthy condition, green and moist, ready for planting.

Bring stunning and effortless beauty to your garden or outdoor patio with the Dwarf Red Hardy Azalea. Clusters of brilliant red Dwarf Azaleas will blossom in your garden early each spring, no matter how cold the season is. Considered one of the most robust varieties of Rhododendron Azalea available, the Dwarf Red Hardy Azalea requires partial shade and moist soil to reach its full potential. Glossy leaves stay green year round until winter when they turn red in preparation for blooming. Resilient to the cold, watch in wonder as bunches of breath-taking flowers unfold atop green foliage each spring, bringing color and aroma to your garden in even the coldest climates.

It is important to keep in mind during planting that these shrubs grow to an average of 2 to 3 feet tall and wide so they need to be planted roughly 2 to 3 feet apart. Once fully grown, the evergreen shrubs can be pruned and shaped for customized splendor! Use them for decoration around the porch or for lining your property, making your yard the envy of your friends and neighbors all year long.
