Almost as tall as my wife Review by Keith N. - Huntley, IL

We received our trees last year and both are very healthy. Very Beautiful plants. We've already transplanted them once into larger pots, and one of them is ready for yet a bigger pot (this tree is almost 5 ft tall) I'll give them a "5" when they have fruit.

Dwarf banana arrived in good health, about 6" tall from soil line. From research and other reviews, should have fast growing tree throughout the summer.

Worked in the South... Review by Craig - Alpharetta, GA
Posted on 2013-04-01 15:53:08

Had one of these a while back. Even here in GA I had to every year move to a larger container. Outdoors Spring/Summer/Fall. Indoors for Winter. I believe the third year it bloomed and set fruit. Had to move back indoors before they ripened. But by Christmas they were ripe and quite tasty ( a bit on the small side). By that time it was in an 18" diameter pot. Keep them well watered!

Very impressive tropical houseplant Review by Viveca Lanuza-Vitales - Grand Rapids, MI

I've had this plant for almost 3 years now, and sadly, still no fruit. It's by the sunniest window and I tried to put it out in the springtime but the wacky weather scorched a few leaves in just about 10 minutes of morning Michigan sun. I put it inside now, under artificial lights--all of a sudden it's thriving and growing plush and shiny dark green leaves. It's gorgeous between the couch and the lazy-boy chair!

Disappointed in Wisconsin Review by Jackie - Neillsville, WI

I've had the plant for 5 years and have never even had a bloom let alone a banana. Still growing and is HEAVY in it's pot but I wish it would bloom.

Bring the tropics into your home with your very own Dwarf Banana Tree. This special fruit-bearing plant is truly special as it provides beauty to your home and lets you enjoy sweet bananas within just a year. Considered a herbaceous perennial, the Musa Banana Tree is a low-maintenance house plant that can yield as many as 90 bananas each season. Nothing gives warmth and exotic beauty to a room quite like the huge, shiny leaves and bright yellow fruit of the banana tree, and this variety allows you to turn your home into a genuine tropical paradise.

The greatest advantage of the Dwarf Cavendish Banana Tree is that it can grow beautifully both indoors and outdoors. Like most tropical plants, the Dwarf Banana Tree requires a combination of bright light, high humidity, and warmth. Therefore, it is best to bring the potted plant outside during the summer season, and move it a brightly-lit area inside your house before first frost. Just make sure to plant the Musa banana tree in an adequately-sized pot filled with well-drained soil that is mixed with peat moss. A mature dwarf Cavendish banana tree can reach a height of 10 feet and features vibrant purple blooms and equally gorgeous purple streaks at the base of the leaves. Your Dwarf Banana Tree will look great anywhere in your home - your living room, patio, garden, or kitchen can become your own tropical oasis!
