A wonderful sturdy houseplant that is very easy to grow and enjoy. The Crown of Thorns is in the same family as the famous poinsettia but the beauty of this euphorbia is non-stop year round. Its blooming is continuous. Mostly grown as a houseplant but if you live in the deep south, you can enjoy this specimen outdoors year round as well.
Significant leaf drop may mean more water is necessary. Once a week is sufficient unless it is very hot and dry. Indoors in winter may require less water. Low nitrogen fertilizer can be applied in the summer months.
