Looking for a creative way to cover up that ugly wall, fence or bare space between you and your neighbor? Have an empty trellis or decorative vine support? Then our exotic passion flowers are for you! These beauties create a unique explosion of color, texture and novelty in one dramatic bloom. Gorgeous flowers, either creamy white accented by blue-purple filaments, or deep red with purple and white centers, instantly attract attention no matter where you grow them. With their vining habit, passion flowers are also perfect for hanging baskets, and can even be grown in patio containers so long as they are moved indoors for winter in northern zones. Once the blooms are spent, enjoy the sweet, tart, gauva-like flavor of the egg-shaped fruit they produce.

Awesome! Review by Ani - Adelphi , MD

I just received my vine. It was about seven inches tall with a whole bunch of leaves. The plant was well packed and secure. I can't wait to see you're big it gets. I just wish the same for the rest of my order.

I bought this last year and it was delivered in the spring. It came in a tiny pot about 5" tall. To my amazement it grew 15-20 ft. around my patio deck fencing and produced the most berate taking blue passion blooms. I took two dozen picture, neighbors came to photograph these lovely blooms. Now it is winter and I am not sure how to treat in for the winter, in the container it is planted in. Do I still water it, filtered light of sun?

I was given this plant as a gift from my brother in spring (a year ago), it was less than 12 inches tall. Now it has gotten big and taken over our fence. Im surprised how fast it grew eventhough I forget to water it many times and I have it in a container . it has produce one fruit(yes, just one). It has attracted many butterflys which my kids enjoy seeing. I love it and will purchase another one.

Slow to start, then exploded Review by Kevin - New Lenox, IL

This plant was a bit slow to start, but once it got going it really exploded and outgrew the trellis it is growing on. First flowers opened today, about 4 months after planting, and they were worth the wait. Will have to see how it handles the midwest winter.

Butterfly magnet! Review by Brandi - Panama City Beach, FL
Posted on 2014-04-04 22:08:02

Gorgeous vine that covered the front of our home in under 3 months. Very fragrant flowers that only bloom for one day, then the next day the next flower on the vine blooms! Also, Gulf Fritillary butterflies LOVE this plant. In late summer they began laying eggs, then the caterpillars (50-100) hatched and ate the leaves. Next thing you know, chrysalis were popping up everywhere! Truly, a joyful plant!

Absolutely beautiful bee magnet! Review by R Fisher ID

In 2013 received about 8-12 inch plants. I Potted them and left them for months in the shade. They grew quickly. I finally put them in the ground in August on the north side of the house on a four foot trellis with mulch. They climbed the trellis within weeks and shot up and over. There were tons of beautiful blooms and incredible amounts of honey bees attracted to them til Nov. Even during cold winter (down to 0) they have done well.

I had the order replaced because the first one got damaged in transportation-dry leaves, brown with broken stem. Then the same thing happened with the replacement.I gave initially 1 star review but I have planted the root anyway and I checked today and I have green leaves- more than 12 or so.Very amazed.

Such a tiny plant grew like crazy and covered the trellis in one season. Wonderful blooms until a hard frost. Will buy more to put on the back fence!

Passion flowers Review by BeBe - Wichita, KS

I plant this vine in late fall last year. I first it may not survive the weather in KS. This spring it came back so strong and gives a lot of beautiful and fragrant flowers. I love passion flowers as much as passion fruit.

I received a tiny cutting. By the end of the first season it covered a 10ft section to at least 10 feet tall. Stayed green and beautiful all through the winter in 31 degree temps. Success!! I love it.

The Blue Passion Flower is a beautiful vine plant that can travel over four to six feet up a trellis or across other accessible areas. These plants love sun, but also do well in partial shade. The flowers bloom from early to midsummer. Passion flower plants feature soft white petals and accenting blue and purple filaments, which really stand out against the dark green vines. The flowers follow the basic spider form and have an exotic look and feel. After flowering, the plant produces an edible fruit, which is great eaten alone or in tea. The plants also offer a nice, catching fragrance which appeals to most.

This passion flower perennial blooms yearly. In colder climates, they should be brought inside for protection in winter. However, they are relatively resilient in any climate. The vines grow rapidly once planted and produce leaves immune to bug and insect damage. The soil for the Blue Passion Flower should be well-drained and humus-enriched, and pruning can be done to the leaves to restrict and control growth as needed.
