The perfect addition to any summer bouquet, our Astrantia Mix blooms all summer long, and remains vibrant and healthy when placed in a vase. This herbaceous perennial can grow between 20 and 30 inches tall, with a spread between 12 to 15 inches. Its colorful flower bracts bloom in umbels one to one-and-a-half inches across in white, pink or raspberry red colors, and sit above neatly spaced dark green basal leaves. Astrantia plants thrive best in well-drained or moist soils, and should be planted in a partially shaded area of your lawn or garden, 12 to 15 inches apart from each other.

Known for its moderate growth rate, astrania can tolerate hardiness zones four through nine, and doesn't require much effort to prune; simply remove spent flowers if you'd like to prolong its blooming time. Along with adding warm colors to your lawn or garden, astrania also makes the perfect addition to any flower arrangement. These beautiful, low-maintenance plants require only moderate watering, and have a hardiness that ensures they'll survive temperatures well below freezing. With no common ailments or known pests affecting the growth of astrania, a little bit of TLC is all this plant needs to retain its beauty long into the summer months.
