Fragrant and perfect for cutting.
It's hard to tell what is more lovable about freesia plants: the way the look, or the way they smell. Freesia plants are visually stunning - they bloom in abundant clusters on gently arching stalks amid gladiolus-like leaves in a wide range of colors, including yellow, white, lavender, pink and fuschia. And, their sweet scent is extremely fragrant and popular, often infused into lotions and perfumes. Whether you seek its looks, scent, or both, in order to cultivate freesia, you have to start with freesia bulbs, and we are pleased to offer a wide variety of freesia bulbs for sale.
Our freesia blends contains a mix of freesias that bloom in cool, soothing shades of blue, white and purple, or warm, colorful freesia varieties. As freesias are hardy in zones 3 -10, those in northern areas should plant their freesia bulbs in the spring. Be sure to choose a spot that gets plenty of sunlight. As they grow, they should be fed once monthly and watered regularly in order to keep the soil moist. Freesia plants grow to be about one foot tall and will continuously produce an abundance of flowers from July through September. As a perennial, these flowers will return annually, lending the sweet addition of fragrant freesia to your garden for years to come.
